Temporary Closure of The Water’s Edge Playground
The Water’s Edge Playground Improvements Begin January 6th
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department advises residents and visitors of the temporary closure of The Water’s Edge playground, located at 402 S. Shoreline (map), for improvements beginning on Monday, January 6, 2020. The playground is scheduled to reopen the second week of March 2020, weather permitting.
The Water’s Edge will remain open for patrons to use the other park amenities such as the Islanders Pavilion, Vishal Bhagat Dog Park, and fitness area. Patrons are asked to be aware of cautionary signage and temporary barriers at the work site to maintain public safety.
The playground improvements will consist of the existing play surface being removed, a new concrete floor poured, and a new pour in place deck to be installed over the concrete. The improvements will be completed for residents and visitors to enjoy during the upcoming spring season.
