WWII Era Model Airplanes coming to the CCIA Terminal
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Travelers coming through Corpus Christi International Airport (CCIA) will soon see some new additions to the USS Lexington display in the terminal. Two model aircrafts will be added to the display, giving visitors a close look at these war birds.
The P-40 Warhawk is an American fighter used during WWII. The model has a 10-foot wingspan and will be placed on a pedestal for all to enjoy. The other aircraft is a Mitsubishi A6M Zero which is a long-range fighter used by Japan during the war.
Media members who would like to get a first look at the new pieces of the exhibit are invited to CCIA, 1000 International Drive, at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 25, 2019. Officials with the USS Lexington will talk about the history of these aircrafts and provide more information about the roles they played in WWII.
