CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – FEMA staff will be available Saturday to share advice for homeowners on the things you can do to protect your home in preparation for a hurricane. Some of the topics will include how to retrofit homes to have stronger roofs, installation of backflow valves to lessen sewage backup during flooding events, and cleaning of mold and mildew after flood-related events. There will also be information on flood mitigation for homes and pamphlets on the National Flood Insurance Program.
