Calling All Water-Loving Dogs to the Pool!

Join Our End-Of-Summer Doggy Dip on August 24!

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Does your dog love playing in the pool as much as you do, maybe more? Well, your furry friend is in for a treat!

The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department invites all dogs and their owners to its Annual Doggy Dip on Saturday, August 24, 2019 from 10am–4pm at H-E-B Pool, located at 1520 Shely Street.

This summer has been a sizzler with heat indices in the triple digits. That’s hot, especially for our tail-wagging buddies! Bring Sparky to cool off at this fun party and experience his #BestSummerEver! The event will be leash-free, so your pet can cut loose and play in the water with other dogs. Dog lovers and their pooches have been enjoying these playful events at City pools for the past 16 years!

Dogs swim at their own risk and that of their owner’s. Any dog owner wishing to participate must provide proof of Distemper, Parvo, and Rabies shots before their dog will be permitted into the pool facility. While the leash law will not be in effect, unruly dogs will be asked to leave. All owners are expected to clean up after their pups. Females in heat will not be allowed. Pool admission is $8 per dog and one owner (additional owners pay $5 per adult, $2 per youth). For more information, call (361) 826-PLAY.

Reasonable accommodations are provided upon request and in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. For assistance or to request a reasonable accommodation, please call (361) 826-3460 at least 48 hours in advance.

The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department is dedicated to providing quality, affordable, enrichment programs for all ages and interests.
