Get Ready for Tomorrow’s 4th of July Fireworks and Festivities!

Visitors are Reminded to Arrive Early and Use RTA Park & Ride

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The Mayor’s 4th of July Big Bang Celebration is here and the Big Bang Committee is excited to feature a full day of FREE events for the whole family. Come out early and make a day out of it!

4TH OF JULY SCHEDULE

Family Fun and Music Zone

The Big Bang Family Fun and Music Zone will be open from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. between Sherrill Veterans Memorial Park and the Great Lawn at Water’s Edge Park, 602 Shoreline Blvd.

Flint Hills Patriotic Parade

The Flint Hills Resources Patriotic Parade will start promptly at 6 p.m. The route will begin at I-37 & Shoreline Blvd. and travel southbound to Park Avenue.

Stellar Energy Harbor Bridge Light Show

The Stellar Energy Harbor Bridge Light Show experience brought to you by Malkan Interactive, will start at 9 p.m. Tune your radio to 92.7FM, 95.5FM, and 1440AM for choreographed music.

HEB 4th of July Fireworks Show

The H-E-B Firework Show will be set off from a barge located in the Corpus Christi Bay just north of the People’s Street T-Head. The firework show is choreographed to music on the same radio stations and will begin at 9:30 p.m.

ROAD CLOSURES

No parking areas and road closures will be in place by Thursday, July 4 at 7:00 a.m.

Be mindful of traffic signs and detours. Expect traffic congestion and delays.

NO PARKING, TOW AWAY ZONES WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED IN ALL AREAS.

Shoreline Boulevard/Downtown

Northbound and southbound Shoreline Boulevard will be closed between Cooper’s Alley and Interstate 37. All traffic will be diverted to Water Street. Expect extended closures along Shoreline Boulevard from Resaca Street to Park Avenue in anticipation of the parade and fireworks show. Closures will remain in place until after the fireworks. Areas north of I-37 will reopen after the parade.

North Beach

The far-right lanes on both northbound and southbound US Hwy 181 will be closed from 5:00 pm to approximately midnight on July 4.

The Burleson Street exit on northbound US Hwy 181 will be closed at 7:30 pm on July 4. Visitors looking to access North Beach after this time will be directed to Portland to turn around and exit on the southbound side.

North Beach guests are asked to arrive EARLY.

RTA PARK & RIDE

With ongoing road closures, construction and limited parking, guests are strongly encouraged to utilize the Corpus Christi RTA’s complimentary Park & Ride service. This service will be available from noon until the end of the event. Buses will continue running until all guests have returned to their vehicles. Coolers and lawn chairs are allowed on the bus. NO BBQ PITS OR COALS OF ANY KIND.

Pick-Up Location:

Corpus Christi City Hall, 1201 Leopard Street.

Drop-Off Location:

Water Street between John Sartain and William Street.
