City To Provide Nutritious Meals for Children Through Its Summer “Lunch’s On Us!” Program
Free Lunch and Snack Program Offered for Youth Ages 1-18
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – To ensure our local youth have access to nutritious meals during their summer school break, the Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department will again sponsor the “Lunch’s On Us!” Summer 2019 Food Service Program from June 10–August 2, 2019. This program will be offered from June 10–August 2, 2019 and is FREE of charge for all youth ages 1-18. Registration and proof of income is not required. Lunch and afternoon snacks will be provided at 19 sites throughout the city. Lunch will be served Monday–Friday, from 11:30am–1pm and an afternoon snack from 2:30pm–3:30pm. All sites will be closed July 4, 2019.
Children will receive hot lunches that are dietician-certified and well-balanced to nourish young developing bodies to be strong and healthy which has been proven to benefit academic performance and enrich their lives.
