CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – According to the National Fire Protection Association, U.S. Fire Departments respond to an average of 230 home structure fires that begin with Christmas Trees each year.
The Corpus Christi Fire Department’s Prevention Division will conduct a Christmas tree burn demonstration to show the public the importance of keeping holiday trees hydrated. A fire-engulfed Christmas tree can release a tremendous amount of hazardous heat and can quickly cause extensive household damage.
