Texas Nature Challenge Closing Ceremonies

Photo Opportunity on November 10

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – For the last ten weeks Coastal Bend families have been exploring over 20 area nature sites as they take on the Texas Nature Challenge 2018. The media is invited to attend the Closing Ceremonies on Saturday, November 10, from 10 am until noon at the Nueces Delta Preserve, located at 3410 Highway 77 in Odem (map and directions).

Closing Ceremonies will consist of fun activities for families put on by an assortment of the participating sites and a short awards ceremony.

The goal of the Texas Nature Challenge is to provide fun, outdoor activities for families to complete together while visiting designated nature sites across the region and developing an understanding of the benefits nature provides.

Coordinated by Texas A&M Forest Service, the competition takes place throughout the year across different regions of Texas. The Coastal Bend Region is locally coordinated by Sara Jose, Preserve Manager of the Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve.
