City's Free Sandbag Distribution System Available Saturday in District 1

 When: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 8

Where: West Guth Park, 9700 Up River Road                          

  What:  New sandbag distribution system available to public          

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – On select Saturdays in September, the City's new sandbag distribution system will be available for the public in each of the five districts. The next location will be at West Guth Park, 9700 Up River Road.

The automated sand filling machine is a free service for residents and makes filling sandbags quick and easy. Citizens will be allowed to fill and take home six sandbags per vehicle which can weigh up to 50 pounds each. It is recommended residents bring gloves and someone to help load the bags. Port of Corpus Christi volunteers will be on hand to assist the public at this week’s event.
