City's Free Sandbag Distribution System Available Saturday in District 2
When: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 25

What: New sandbag distribution system available to public
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – On select Saturdays in August and September, the City's new sandbag distribution system will be available for the public in each of the five districts. The next location will be Saturday, August 25, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Del Mar College – East Campus, 101 Baldwin Boulevard. The Sandbagger entrance is on Naples Street off Kosar Street.
The automated sand filling machine is a free service for residents and makes filling sandbags quick and easy. Citizens will be allowed to fill and take home six sandbags per vehicle which can weigh up to 50 pounds each. It is recommended residents bring someone along to help load the bags. Citizens are also advised to bring gloves to handle the sandbags.
