City Experiencing Increased Water Line Breaks
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – City crews are working around-the-clock to keep up with summertime water line breaks. Severe heat and changing soil conditions can cause the ground to shift more abruptly. These changing conditions combined with aging infrastructure and small increases in water pressure can cause an overall increase in leaks causing low water pressure or complete water line breaks.
Once a water line break is confirmed, the repair is prioritized based on severity of leak or break, location and date reported. City utility crews will process and repair all breaks as soon as possible, trying to minimize interruption to services.
The community is asked report all water line breaks by calling the City Call Center at (361) 826-CITY (2489).
