Youth Swing for the Fences During Baseball League

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department invites the media for a photo opportunity of its summer 2018 High School Baseball League.
WHAT: The High School Baseball League runs from June 11 - July 12. Boys ages 16 years and under play in the sub varsity division and boys ages 17 - 18 play in the varsity division. This league offers players the opportunity to learn, understand and apply the rules of baseball through weekly practice and gameplay.
WHO: 60 boys are participating in the league.
WHERE: Mary Carroll High School Baseball Field, located at 5301 Weber Road.
WHEN: Best time for media is Wednesday, July 11, from 6:30 - 7:30pm.
WHY: Our baseball league promotes important life skills like teamwork, leadership, discipline, goal-setting and good sportsmanship.
