City Reminds Residents to Fix Leaks Around Their Homes
After water pressure increases, existing leaks could result in higher water bills.
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - As the Holly Road elevated storage tank (water tower) is prepared for service, the City’s Water Utilities Department wants to remind all residents to check their homes for existing leaks.
Operation of the new tower will increase citywide water pressure to 65 pounds per square inch (psi) and could result in higher water bills in the coming months if leaks are not repaired.
Residents should inspect all faucets, pipes, hoses and connectors. Homes with irrigation systems should also be adjusted. For toilet inspection, the City has FREE leak detection tablets available at the Information Booth at City Hall, 1201 Leopard Street and at the Utilities Department, 2726 Holly Road.
