Warrant Roundup’s Amnesty Period Ends Today

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Today is the final day of the amnesty period which precedes the start of the 2018 Great Texas Warrant Roundup. Individuals still have an opportunity to voluntarily take care of their warrants without concern of arrest.

Chief Deputy Court Clerk Laura Garza said Municipal Court is utilizing its entire staff and offering extended hours to assist the increased number of people who are coming in to pay their citations. Municipal Court located at 120 N. Chaparral Street will remain open until 6:30 p.m.

Court staff said this year’s amnesty period has been highly successful. So far, more than 1,300 warrants have been taken care of during this period. That’s about a 57% increase over this time last year.
