CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Star Wars fans will be thrilled to know the Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department and Westside Business Association will host a free screening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens! This highly acclaimed motion picture received five Academy Award nominations including Best Visual Effects and Best Original Score! It will be shown on Wednesday, December 27, at 6:30 p.m. at Joe Garza Recreation Center, 3204 Highland Avenue. Get there early to secure your seat when the doors open. There will be cash-only concessions.
We invite everyone to come in Star Wars costume, bring your light saber, and “may the force be with you.” Will you come as Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, a Storm Trooper, a Jedi, Yoda, or a Wookiee? “Come watch the film and enjoy an evening of comradery with other Star Wars fans,” said Kirk Wood, Recreation Coordinator for the Parks & Recreation Department.
