Holiday Tamale-Making Demonstrations SOLD OUT
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – “The two tamale-making demonstrations taking placae on Saturday, December 2, are sold out,” said Laura Jasso, Special Events Program Manager for the Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department’s Cultural Services. To accommodate all 128 registered participants, the two demonstrations have been moved from the Galván House to the Lindale Recreation Center.
Sandra Vásquez, inventor of the ‘Mas Tamales’ masa spreader, will demonstrate how to make tamales with a glide of the hand. She will teach how to spread masa on a dozen cornhusks in about a minute — that’s fast! The demonstrations include recipes and food samples.
WHEN: Saturday, December 2 at 10:30am and 1:30pm
WHERE: Lindale Recreation Center is located at 3133 Swantner Drive
