Fire Department Receives Training Donation
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – When it comes to fighting fires, saving lives is only part of the job. Firefighters spend countless hours training and honing their skills to ensure they are prepared for any emergency. To assist with those efforts, Welborn Media, a California based company, has provided the Corpus Christi Fire Department a year of free access to a tactical command and situational awareness training website.
Through the use of the site hosted by Scott Goodwin and Associates, firefighters can practice size-up, hazard recognition and other issues that influence ground decisions and actions. The courses can also be used for required continued education hours. The normal cost for access to this training is $40.00 per month, per user. For 345 firefighters assigned to take the training, the value of this free access is worth $165,600.00.
The Corpus Christi Fire Department is extremely grateful for this generous donation. The training and knowledge helps firefighters better protect themselves and the community.
