TSA at Corpus Christi International Airport (CRP) to Share Holiday Travel Tips and Highlight New Screening Procedures for Electronics

Corpus Christi, TX – Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officials at Corpus Christi
International Airport (CRP) will share holiday travel tips and discuss new procedures for screening
electronics at checkpoints. The new requirements, which were announced earlier this year, require
travelers to place all electronics larger than a cell phone in bins for X-ray screening in standard lanes.
These new procedures have been fully implemented at CRP, and passengers are now being asked to
remove electronics larger than a cell phone from their carry-on bags and place them in bins with nothing
on top or below, similar to how laptops have been screened for years. This simple step helps TSA officers
obtain a clearer X-ray image.
Join us to learn more about how to prepare for holiday travel and see a demonstration of the new
procedures.
