Holiday Tamale-Making Demonstrations
Two Classes on Saturday, December 2
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department’s Cultural Services invites you to join us for a seasonal cooking demonstration featuring tamale-making. Two classes will be offered on Saturday, December 2 at 10:30am and 1:30pm at the historic Galván House in Heritage Park located at 1581 N. Chaparral Street.
Join Sandra Vásquez, inventor of the ‘Mas Tamales’ masa spreader, as she demonstrates how to make tamales with a glide of the hand. Learn how to spread masa on a dozen cornhusks in about a minute — that’s fast! Cost is $8 per person and includes the demonstration, recipes, and food samples. Don’t miss this tasty holiday tradition. Reservations for these demonstrations are required as seating is limited to 30 participants. Call (361) 836-3417 or (361) 826-3411 to register for this class.
