Wesley Seale Dam Water Releases Reduced

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - The City of Corpus Christi continues monitoring the reservoir levels at Lake Corpus Christi and Choke Canyon. As of today, October 18, 2017, Lake Corpus Christi continues to be at 100 percent capacity.

The rate of water releases has been slowed with only two gates remaining open. Residents downstream the Nueces River should expect flood waters to recede in the coming days.

The City began releasing water to protect the integrity of the dam on Thursday, October 12, 2017, when Lake Corpus Christi Reservoir surpassed 100 percent capacity.
