Music of South Texas Honors New Inductees

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – This weekend, the voices which have been part of South Texas’ soundtrack will be honored. Two of the area’s most popular musical performers along with a trio of media personalities will be recognized at the 6th Annual La Música del Sur de Tejas (the Music of South Texas) Induction, Sunday, October 15 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ben F. McDonald Public Library, 4044 Greenwood Drive.

This year’s inductees include veteran musical performers Linda Escobar and Ramiro Gonzalez. Legendary radio broadcaster Armando Pena, Jr. and local radio hosts Dan Pena and Barbi Leo from KSAB-FM 99.9 will also be inducted. The ceremony will include musical performances by Escobar and Gonzalez. The library will open its doors at 1:00 p.m. This event is free to the public and will include a reception and gallery tour.
