Hurricane Harvey Recovery Update
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Vector Control employees will be checking for standing water and utilizing larvicide where necessary. It is safely used in public areas and has been proven to be an effective method for treating mosquito-prone areas. Once weather conditions are conducive, adulticide spraying will be conducted for the entire city.
Residents can assist with mosquito prevention by eliminating any standing water that has accumulated in tires or any open containers. Properly treat pool water as soon as possible.
Animal Care Services will open today at noon to allow pet owners to search for missing pets. CCACS has initiated a ten-day stray hold to allow pet owners who evacuated sufficient time to return to city and reclaim their pets.
City Call Center is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at (361) 826-2489. Representatives can assist you with information, accessing services and reporting problems.
