Storm Debris Collection Schedule

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX –

Solid Waste Services Garbage Collection will resume Monday, 8/28/17 on regular schedule.

Recycling Collection will resume Monday, 8/28/17 on regular schedule.

Contractor crews are now being mobilized to assist with brush and storm debris removal.

Residents are urged to cut and set-out their brush and trees curbside but care must be taken to not block storm drains, sidewalks or driveways.
Piles must be separated into heavy brush, other debris (fences, bulky items, storm debris) and white goods (refrigerators and freezers).
Regular brush collection schedules are suspended until further notice. Initial storm collection will begin later this week to give residents time to set-out.
As a reminder, crews will not pick-up hazardous waste curbside.

Residents are encouraged to utilize the free services of the J.C. Elliott Transfer Station for debris, brush, garbage & recycle collection and household hazardous waste.

The Transfer Station is open today, Sunday, 8/27/17, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Special extended hours until 8 p.m. will continue until further notice, to assist residents.

For those residents with damaged white goods (refrigerators, freezers), a request for collection must be made through the City’s Call Center at 826-CITY (2489).

Refrigerators and freezer doors must be secured or removed to ensure the safety of children.
Refrigerators and freezers are required to have all food items removed. Food Items should be placed in a heavy plastic bag or double bagged to reduce odors then placed in the green cart for regular collection.
Residents that choose to utilize the J.C. Elliott Transfer Station must empty all contents from the white goods prior to disposal.
Contents must be brought in a heavy plastic bag or double bagged or placed in the green cart for collection.

For those residents whose Friday service was suspended, the next collection will take place on the regular Friday schedule.

Friday collection customers only may place extra bags of trash next to the cart for collection.

All special brush collections and Litter Critter requests are suspended until further notice.
