2017 Great Texas Warrant Roundup Amnesty Period Ends This Week

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – This is the final week of amnesty before the 2017 Great Texas Warrant Roundup officially gets underway from February 25 through March 11.

This means citizens with warrants have until this Friday, February 24 to resolve their cases voluntarily. Payments can be made in person at Municipal Court, 120 N. Chaparral Street between 8:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. today through Friday. Individuals who appear before a Municipal Court Judge to resolve their case(s) during the amnesty period will not be arrested.

Payments are also accepted online in full at www.municipalonlinepayments.com/corpuschristitx.

According to Gilbert Hernandez, Municipal Court Director, 643 people handled their warrants during the first week of amnesty, resulting in 957 total warrants being cleared. Speeding citations had the highest number of warrants.
