2017 Great Texas Warrant Roundup Begins

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Beginning Saturday, February 25, 2017, the City of Corpus Christi Marshal’s Division will join more than 300 state law enforcement agencies for the 2017 Great Texas Warrant Roundup.

The roundup is designed for participating jurisdictions to target thousands of defendants with outstanding traffic and code enforcement violations and misdemeanor warrants. The goal of the 2017 Great Texas Warrant Roundup is to bring these individuals into compliance.

Citizens with outstanding warrants are strongly encouraged to resolve their obligations voluntarily. The options available for individuals who are not able to pay immediately include payment plans or community service for those who qualify.

Before the official Warrant Roundup begins, defendants will be offered a two-week amnesty period from Monday, February 13, 2017 to Friday, February 24, 2017. During this time, citizens can voluntarily resolve their cases by appearing in person at Municipal Court, 120 N. Chaparral Street, or by paying online in full at www.municipalonlinepayments.com/corpuschristitx. Anyone who appears before a Municipal Court Judge to resolve their case(s) during the two weeks of amnesty will not be arrested.

Information regarding the number of outstanding warrants a person may have and how to take care of warrants prior to arrest may be obtained at Municipal Court by calling (361) 826-2500. Those who have outstanding warrants are strongly encouraged to dispose of cases voluntarily to avoid the inconvenience and embarrassment of arrest. The Roundup (and arrests) officially begin on Saturday, February 25, 2017 through Saturday, March 11, 2017.
