Ranchera and Conjunto Classics to be Featured During March Pláticas Musicales

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Local music historian Manuel Ayala will bring the sounds of South Texas to life during this month’s Pláticas Musicales, Wednesday, March 27 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Ben. F. McDonald Public Library, 4044 Greenwood Drive.

This month’s event will feature a live performance of conjunto, traditional music of Mexico, and country hits from Los Dos Amigos de Pablo Salazar y Oscar Galvan con Nono De Los Santos. Those in attendance are also encouraged to visit the library’s “Música del Sur de Tejas” photo gallery, which honors legendary Hispanic musicians from Corpus Christi and the surrounding areas.
