Public Meeting on the City’s Inner Habor Seawater Desalination Treatment Plant Permit to be Held April 18

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) will host a public meeting to allow comment on the City of Corpus Christi's application for a Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (TPDES) permit.

The meeting will take place on April 18, at 7:00 p.m., at the American Bank Center (Henry Garrett Ballroom B and C), located at 1901 N. Shoreline Boulevard.

The City submitted its TPDES application to the TCEQ for the Inner Harbor seawater desalination facility in January 2020.

The TPDES permit is the second of two permits needed from TCEQ to establish the seawater desalination facility. The TCEQ granted the water rights permit for the Inner Harbor on October 5, 2022.
