Pinning Ceremony to be Live-Streamed

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – After 18 months and thousands of hours of preparation, members of the 41st Fire Academy will soon receive their official firefighter/paramedics’ badge during a pinning ceremony.

The 25 cadets began their journey to join the ranks of the Corpus Christi Fire Department in January of 2019. Their preparation included 1,728 training hours for EMT/Paramedic, 720 hours of fire training, 240 hours in protocol review and many hours of community service project.

“Emergency calls are up because of COVID-19, these new Firefighter - Paramedics will provide relief for crews who have been working tirelessly dealing with this pandemic,” said Corpus Christi Fire Chief Robert Rocha.

The ceremony will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2020. Out of an abundance of caution, the public and the media can view the event live on the following communication channels:
