Park Road 22 Temporary Closure for Installation of New Electrical Lines for Lift Station
Intermittent Closures on February 22, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Beginning on Tuesday, February 22, AEP Texas will be intermittingly closing Park Road 22 between Commodores Drive and Whitecap Boulevard to install and secure new electrical lines located above the roadway. This installation is part of the Park Road 22 Lift Station project and is expected to last one day.
The closures will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. During this time, AEP will close the roadway for 15-minute increments while they secure the new electrical lines to the poles. They will then re-open the roadway to allow traffic to flow for another 15 minutes. This process will be repeated until the project is complete.
Message boards, signage, and flaggers will be put in place to notify motorists of the closure. Safety is the City’s top priority. Motorists are reminded to be aware of the work zone, follow posted signage, or seek alternate routes to avoid delays.
