Nueces County Sees Increase in COVID-19 Cases
Community Urged to Follow Prevention Practices
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District continues to monitor COVID-19 cases in Nueces County. The Health District has seen an increase in reported positive cases and hospitalizations in Nueces County compared to previous weeks.
The rise in cases in Nueces County is consistent with the increase in hospital admissions, positive test rates, and emergency room visits seen nationally.
To help slow the spread of COVID-19, the Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District recommends the following prevention practices:
- Avoid large congregate settings
- Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds
- Stay home if you are feeling sick
- Use the COVID-19 at-home test and report your results to the Health District
- Stay up to date on vaccine coverage
Residents can visit the Health District for free at-home COVID-19 test kits during regular working hours on weekdays.
COVID-19 vaccines are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Health District located at 1702 Horne Road. No appointment is necessary.
