New Playground Shapes Westside Neighborhood

For many years, Dilworth Park had no playground but that changed recently, as 150 staff and volunteers worked to assemble a playground inspired by the drawings of children. The Parks and Recreation Department joined Beautify Corpus Christi, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas and the national non-profit, Kaboom. The new and improved Dilworth Park, at 3000 Elgin Street, now has plenty of equipment to climb, slide down and run around. This is the second local park Kaboom has funded. The first is located at the Corpus Christi Science and History Museum.
