New Development Standards Improve City Infrastructure
Infrastructure Design Manual Launches Today
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX –The City of Corpus Christi is setting a higher development standard for new infrastructure by updating its Infrastructure Design Manual (IDM).
The IDM is a single guidance document for designers of public improvements that will be operated and maintained by the City after construction. The new standards will ensure that streets and infrastructure will have a longer lifecycle by setting best practices in accordance with industry standards.
The new IDM will provide guidance on the following areas:
- Street Design Requirements
- Street Lighting
- Traffic Signalization
- Median Landscaping
- Storm Water Design Requirements
- Water Design Requirements
- Wastewater Design Requirements
