CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The City of Corpus Christi will hold a signing ceremony to commemorate a new partnership agreement with Nueces County giving the City sole management authority for the Corpus Christi-Nueces County Health District.

The new agreement enables the City of Corpus Christi to implement a new business model and best practice approaches to strengthen and improve public health outcomes for our community. The new agreement will take effect Tuesday, March 1.

“Today, we are standing up to redefine public health for the people we serve,” said Mayor Paulette Guajardo. “Realizing the goal of recommitting our public health efforts is a tremendous feat, and I thank our City Council members, our County Commissioners, and our City Manager who have supported and led in this effort.
