CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The City of Corpus Christi and the Mayor’s Committee on Veteran Affairs will host a Pearl Harbor Remembrance Ceremony to honor and remember service members and civilians killed during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.

This year marks the 80th commemoration of the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, and the subsequent entry of the United States into World War II. The ceremony includes a parade of colors, representatives of veterans' organizations, remarks from dignitaries, and a special performance by the Veteran’s Memorial High School Choir.

“National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day is a day of reflection and tribute, where all Americans should come together to honor the bravery and sacrifice of our veterans that served on that “Day of Infamy,” Mayor Paulette M. Guajardo said.
