Mayor’s 4th of July Big Bang Celebration Filled with Free Events
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Corpus Christi is gearing up for the 40th Anniversary of the Mayor’s 4th of July Big Bang Celebration, and we’re doing it in a big way! The list of events won’t be limited to only one day, but also will include an array of things to do leading up to July 4.
One of those events will be the U.S. Air Force Band of the West featuring the Corpus Christi Veterans Band presented by the Texas Jazz Festival Society. The free concert starts at 7 p.m. at the Selena Auditorium. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and seats are first come, first serve so get there early to hear a one-of-a-kind, patriotic experience.
While the 4th will be packed with things to do, be sure to find a cool spot on the Bayfront and check out the Mayor’s Regatta Races at noon. Sailboats of all kinds will start at the Corpus Christi Yacht Club and race to the Texas State Aquarium and back. There will be three winners for all sails and three winners for working sails.
There will be lots to see and do so make some room in your schedule to attend these free events!
