Mayor Joe McComb Signs Stay at Home Order Aligning City with Nueces County

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – This morning, Mayor Joe McComb signed a City of Corpus Christi Order to Stay at Home mirroring the Order Nueces County Judge Barbara Canales signed on Wednesday, March 25, 2020. The Order is effective immediately and remains in effect for seven days. City Council will consider extending the Order on Tuesday, March 31, 2020.

The declaration of local state of disaster due to public health emergency gives the Mayor the authority to protect the public by issuing the Stay at Home Order. The goal of the City Order is to provide consistent guidance for the public across local government entities on both a county and city level.
