Preparations for Storm Beryl are Underway

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — Mayor Paulette Guajardo has declared a Local State of Disaster for the City of Corpus Christi in response to the impending severe weather conditions expected from Storm Beryl. This declaration aligns with Governor Greg Abbott's severe disaster weather declaration for 40 counties, which includes Nueces County, ensuring vital resources are available for communities in need.

The City is actively monitoring Storm Beryl and has implemented emergency protocols to safeguard residents. Mayor Guajardo emphasized, “The safety of our residents remains our top priority. This declaration will expedite the deployment of vital resources to Corpus Christians.”
The declaration will take effect immediately and will continue for a period of no more than seven days.
