Keep Solid Waste Collections Clean and Safe Properly Dispose of Hazardous Waste

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Solid Waste Services encourages residents to keep our streets safe and clean by properly disposing of your household hazardous waste at the J.C. Elliott Collection Center FREE of charge!

Many jobs and chores around your home sometimes require the use of products containing hazardous components, such as chemicals that are poisonous, corrosive or flammable. When improperly disposed with recyclables or waste materials, the joining of those chemicals could prove dangerous or messy. For example, paint is one many household materials. If disposed of improperly, it could leak out of a collection truck onto city streets resulting a huge mess.

Residents can properly dispose of paint and other hazardous materials at the J.C. Elliott Collection Center located at Highway 286 and Ayers Street, Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. All residents must show a valid driver’s license with an address within city limits.
