Come to the 78415 Community Youth Development’s Community Collaborative Committee Open House and Monthly Meeting on October 27, 2015, 6–7pm

Do you have a vision for a better life for residents in the 78415 community? Join the team of like-minded individuals who are inspired to lead that change.

We are inviting interested community members to our Open House and Monthly meeting for the City of Corpus Christi’s 78415 Community Youth Development (CYD) program Community Collaborative Committee (CCC). The Open House will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at South Park Middle School Library, 3001 McArdle Road.

CYD has always recognized, needed and appreciated the role that community volunteers, youth and CYD service providers play in helping to reduce juvenile crime and improve positive outcomes for youth and families living in the 78415 ZIP code.

Community Youth Development (78415) Program Steering Committee currently has five (5) vacancies representing the following categories: 4 – Residents of the 78415 ZIP Code, and 1 – Community At Large. The committee advises the City Council on a periodic basis of the progress regarding the Community Youth Development Program.

The CCC meets quarterly with a date set at each meeting for the upcoming meeting. This month we are conducting a special meeting to discuss several issues. If selected as a City appointed Committee member, all will be required to attend Open Records Training. This training must be completed within six months of your appointment.

The CCC is seeking individuals who are willing to provide their time, commitment and attention to make the lives of youth and families living in 78415 more rewarding. We look forward to meeting with community members and working together for the good of the community.
