I-37 Nueces River Project Lane and Ramp Closures Planned for July 23-24

Day and Night Closures Scheduled

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – As part of the I-37 Nueces River Bridge Reconstruction Project, Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) contractors have scheduled brief ramp and mainlanes closures Sunday and Monday to continue demolition of a section of the old southbound I-37 mainlanes.

The closures will affect southbound motorists on I-37 and the northbound Sharpsburg exit. Details include:

Sunday, July 23, and Monday, July 24, from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. each night:

I-37 Southbound - Southbound traffic reduced to one lane at Nueces River Bridge.

Monday, July 24, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.:

I-37 Northbound - Sharpsburg exit closed. Drivers may exit Labonte Park, turn around to the southbound frontage road, and continue to Sharpsburg.

Drivers are urged to slow down in the work zone and watch for workers and equipment.

All work is weather permitting. Lane closures are subject to change without notice.
