Health District WIC Office Closed for Automated System Training

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - The Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District’s Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program will be closed Monday, March 5,  through Friday, March 9. All staff will spend the week learning how to utilize the new paperless system which will replace the multitude of paper forms used currently. Beginning Monday, March 12th, the WIC Office will re-open to clients who should experience less paperwork, automatic appointment reminders, and enhanced growth charts and shopping lists. 

The WIC Special Supplemental Nutrition Program provides real support to eligible pregnant women, new mothers, and children up to age five. In addition to healthy foods, WIC provides nutrition assessments and classes, breastfeeding education and support, personalized nutrition counseling, and referrals
to other important health services.
