Health District to Offer Free Spanish Quit Smoking Classes
The Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District will offer the free Spanish Quit Smoking Classes May 17 - June 7, 2016, every Tuesday, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 1702 Horne Road.
If you are Spanish speaking and want to quit smoking with support this class is for you. Classes are Free and educational.
“The Health District would like to remove this language barrier for residents who want to quit smoking and improve the quality of their life,” said Local Health Authority Dr. William Burgin, Jr.
All participants must register for the class by calling (361) 826-7267 to reserve a spot.
The class curriculum is based on the American Cancer Society’s Fresh Start Program. Health Education Specialist Noelia Rodriguez and Program Coordinator Luz Saenz will serve as class facilitators.
The program is made possible through the Texas Healthy Communities Program.
