First Friday Artwalk
Art, Music, and Vendors in Downtown Corpus Christi
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The Downtown Management District will host its First Friday Artwalk on Friday, November 1, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. This event supports local artists, musicians, and vendors.
To improve safety for visitors, the City’s traffic plan includes the closures of the Twigg Street and North Port Avenue/Nueces Bay exits from 11:00 a.m. on Friday until 1:00 a.m. on Saturday.
Visitors are strongly encouraged to plan to arrive early downtown to avoid anticipated delays related to traffic, street closures, and parking.

Traffic Impacts:
- Parking restrictions along Chaparral Street, Starr Street, Taylor Street, Peoples Street, and Lomax Street. Enforcement begins at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 1.
- Street closures along, Chaparral Street, Starr Street, Taylor Street, Peoples Street, and Lomax Street.
- Closure of Twigg Street exit ramp (Friday, November 1 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 2).
- Motorists traveling along the eastbound Martin Luther King Drive frontage road are advised to use Port Avenue to access downtown.
- Motorists traveling along Southbound US 181 are advised to utilize the Up River Road exit and turnaround to access downtown via eastbound IH 37.
- Motorists traveling along northbound SH 286 can utilize the Agnes Street exit to access downtown.
The closures of the Twigg Street and North Port Avenue/Nueces Bay exits are not associated with the Harbor Bridge Project.
