Financial Services Recognized for Excellence in Financial Reporting
Department Awarded for 33rd Year
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS – The City of Corpus Christi Financial Services Department was awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for the department’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CARF) for the fiscal year that ended September 30, 2015. This is the 33rd year Financial Services has received this award.
The Certificate of Achievement is the highest recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting.
The CAFR was judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program including demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the CAFR.
