Financial Services Department Awarded Top Recognition
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – For the 35th consecutive year, the City of Corpus Christi’s Financial Services Department received the highest form of recognition from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA).
The department earned both a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting and an Award of Financial Reporting Achievement, after submitting their Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the 2017-2018 Fiscal Year.
The certificate and award represent a significant accomplishment by a government and its management, and are highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting.
The GFOA is a major professional association serving the needs of nearly 19,000 appointed and elected local, state, and provincial-level government officials and other finance practitioners.
