Facilities & Property Management Director Appointment Announced

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS – City Manager Margie C. Rose announced the appointment of Mr. Edgar Leonard as Facilities & Property Management Director today at the regularly scheduled City Council meeting.

“The competitive recruitment process confirmed Mr. Leonard was the right candidate to lead the challenges in our Facilities & Property Management Department,” said City Manager Margie C. Rose. “His experience and education will be an asset to the City as we continue work on the comprehensive facilities plan,” added Ms. Rose.

Mr. Leonard has over 18 years of municipal experience with the City of Corpus Christi and has held various positions including most recently the Interim Director of Facilities and Property Management, Assistant Director of Street planning, Assistant Director of Storm Water Operations, and Facility Manager. He has also served as an Assistant Public Works Director at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi and Public Works Director at Nava Support Facility Antigua. Mr. Leonard holds a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science Civil Engineering along with being a Certified Facility Manager.

“It is important we preserve, protect and maintain the taxpayers investment in facility assets and I’m honored and humbled to be selected to serve  the Citizens in a different capacity,” said Edgar Leonard.
