CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The public is invited to the swearing-in ceremony for Mike Markle as Chief of the Corpus Christi Police Department (CCPD) on Tuesday, July 27. Markle retired from the CCPD in May after serving 31 years with the department, including six years as Chief. Earlier this month, City Manager Peter Zanoni re-appointed Markle to the position.

“We welcome Chief Markle back with open arms! The city is looking forward to seeing his continued progress for the Corpus Christi police department," said Mayor Paulette M. Guajardo.

Markle’s re-appointment requires City Council confirmation.
