Corpus Christi International Airport Featured in Business View Magazine

Article Spotlights Airport’s Bright Future

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The Corpus Christi International Airport (CCIA) is prepared for more growth in 2022. That’s according to a recent feature article in Business Week Magazine. The magazine labeled Corpus Christi the “Gulf Coast Capital” of southwest Texas. It cited the importance of CCIA as the city has become a sought-after area for business and recreation.

Also mentioned is a recently launched five-year terminal renovation program that will replace some airport infrastructure and incorporate state-of-the-art restrooms and upgraded seating throughout. Each seat will also be equipped with its own power supply. There are plans to add a nursing room, a service animal relief station, an outdoor patio, new restaurants, and new gift shops. It is a major, much-anticipated update.

“Corpus Christi International Airport is the gateway to the Gulf Coast Capital,” Mayor Paulette M. Guajardo said. “Being featured in this article is fantastic for our tourism industry and for local business.”

CCIA has a category-five ready-level terminal that can house between 200 and 300 people in an emergency. They are also training airport personnel on identifying and combating human trafficking.
