Southwest Airlines Cancels Hundreds of Flights Over the Weekend

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Airlines across the United States have canceled over 17,000 flights in the week leading up to Christmas. Severe winter weather brought snow, ice, bitter cold and staffing shortages. All three remaining Southwest flights out of Corpus Christi International Airport are canceled for today, Monday, December 26.

On Christmas day, Southwest Airlines canceled nearly 20% of their flights. Despite their efforts to get back on schedule, flight schedules were reduced again today.
