"Cool Corpus Christi" Annual Fan Drive

The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department’s Senior Community Services Program in collaboration with WellMed, Grande Communications, KRIS Communications and the Lindale Senior Center Tuesday Night Dance Club will present the 7th Annual "Cool Corpus Christi" Fan Drive. The citywide fan collection will benefit senior citizens in need of a cooling system to provide relief from the summer heat.

The "Cool Corpus Christi" Fan Drive will take place May 24 – June 24, 2016. Join us for the kick-off event on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 from 7:00 p.m.–7:30 p.m. at the Lindale Senior Center located at 3135 Swantner Street. Meteorologist Dale Nelson will host the event.

Fans collected will be delivered to homebound seniors and elderly persons identified in need at senior centers and through Adult Protective Services. Last year, more than 100 fans were collected and distributed within the Corpus Christi area.

Persons interested in contributing can donate 16" to 20" box or standing oscillating fans, and/or monetary donations to the drop-off locations listed below:
